Wedding entertainment has undergone a vast change in recent years and has expanded into areas not even thought of just a few years ago. Weddings are preceded by evermore elaborate stag and hen parties and the wedding day itself boasts a host of entertainment from fun casinos to pipers.
The entertainment is a key consideration for the bride and groom. These days people are almost becoming competitive about having the best entertainment available, and options include human statues, street entertainers, string quartets, dance bands, harpists and children's entertainers to keep the children occupied!
The entertainment at your wedding can be as important as ensuring your cake is stunning, the food is delicious, your bridesmaids look beautiful, the table settings are idyllic. Wedding entertainment is no longer something that can be overlooked in its importance to ensuring you have the best day of your life.
Wedding entertainment starts early when guests are arriving, not just later in the evening as was the norm in the past. Early arrivals can be entertained by artistic balloon twisting, which will amuse your wedding guests and put them in a party mood.
Event planning has never been the easiest task, and the budget can certainly be an issue, but most people planning a wedding still focus on making sure that their guests are up and dancing in the evening. Of course DJs are always a popular choice, but these days there are an incredible amount of wedding bands for hire. People are more likely to remember your wedding if there's a really good party band, playing hits from your era.
So the tip is this; always consider your age and the age of your friends, and think back to when you were out dancing as a young hopeful singleton with your friends. Ask the band if they play hits from that era, and if they can't look for someone else.
You can almost guarantee, if you pick the right wedding band, your guests will go home remembering your reception for many, many years to come.
